Hannah Gale is one of my favourite bloggers out there. She is the queen of lists (seriously, I have a whole folder in my bookmarks dedicated to her lists) and all of the things 20-something-related women get crazy about. She just nails it with every damn post – and I won her birthday giveaway.
Not the smoothest transition, I’ll give you that. So I did a little dance and my heart beat a little faster and my hands were shaking as I typed an email letting her know my address (and trying not to fangirl too hard). And since I’m oh-so-super-excited about it all… I wanted to share it with you!
Can we please appreciate the tape the parcel was sealed with? Too cool already and I hadn’t even opened it…
Everything came in this beautiful makeup bag by elsie & nell – I hadn’t heard of them before but I took a little look and their products are so cute! The bag is really good quality, too, it’s like proper nice fabric and will hold many (un)necessary items. Find elsie & nell on etsy here.
There was also a cute handwritten ‘thank you’ card which I thought was super lovely. But let’s move on to the inside of the bag… and I hope you’re just as excited as I am. Let’s start with the beauty bits!
Bobbi Brown Nectar & Nude Eye Palette (similar)
Okay, let me try to breathe for a second.
All of these products are just so perfect for me, and I’m not just saying that because I happen to have won. I can’t wait to give the benefit products a try; obviously I have heard many good things about them. The eyeshadows are absolutely perfect for me; nude and brown shades are my absolute favourites and I’m so thrilled to try them out. I already have a makeup look in my mind that I want to create with them! The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish is beautiful, too; I’m not sure if it is a liiittle too red-toned for me, but I already know that I will use it as a crease shade for a brown smokey eye anyway.
And then the liner… ohhh. This seems to be a shadow which doubles as a liner (which, in my opinion, is always a winner!) and the colour is so nice, too – it actually came as a bit of a surprise because I thought it was just a plain black liner! Turns out, it’s not! This will go super nicely as a liner with a neutral/browny daytime look, or as a base for a more smokey eye.
When I moved to London, the Tangle Teezer was one of the products I bought on my first Superdrug spree. I had heard so many good reviews, and more than two years later, it’s still going strong! So to now have one which I can throw in my handbag is really handy, especially now that A/W season is upon us and my hair is going to get tangled in my scarves about 20 times a day.
The bracelet is super beautiful, too, I generally really like Accessorize’s jewellery; it’s where I mainly shop for jewellery at, actually. Winner!
If you know me, you’ll know that I have a weakness for stationery (no you have a playlist of paperchase haul videos on YouTube….!), so this excites me greatly. The cards are really cute (and have found their way on my desk already) and you may know from my ‘50 facts about me‘ post that I make lists for everything. And you know that it says on the Quotebook? “For writers, jotters and to-do list makers”. Could this get any more perfect?!
Yes, yes it can get more perfect. Are you ready?
Okay – what?! Is that a DW watch? Yes, yes it is. I am so excited about this, I can’t even tell you. DW watches have obviously been all over Instagram for a while, and I always admired them from afar, and now one of them is mine. And it couldn’t be more perfect.
I’m not even joking – I was going to ask for a new watch for my birthday, and I had wanted a larger one for so long. I usually wear this rather delicate one but I like the look of more ‘chunky’ ones, too. And this one is the perfect size for my teeny tiny wrist; it doesn’t look too bulky, it’s classy, it’s timeless, it goes with everything. I’m so so chuffed!
Thank you again to Hannah for this amazing collection of beautiful products! 🙂
I am in love with every single piece.
