A non-alcoholic, lactose-free Christmas drink

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…

Eight maids a-milking

seven swans a-swimming | six geese a-laying | five gold rings

four calling birds | three French hens | two turtle doves

and a partridge in a pear tree.

I love a festive drink as much as the next person, but it’s really difficult to find them if you don’t enjoy alcohol or are lactose-intolerant – or, in my case, both. That’s why I’ve created one for you! I don’t really have measurements as I just played around with the quantities, so just try and see what works best for you.

You’ll need:

Hazelnut milk

Vanilla extract

Whipped cream (I used Lactofree)

Chopped hazelnuts and candy canes for decoration

Equipment: A handmixer

Time: 5-10 minutes

Brew your coffee the way you prefer and mix with as much hazelnut milk as you like. Whip the cream, pop on top and decorate with chopped hazelnuts and candy canes.

Hazelnut and coffee drink with whipped cream

Two glasses with hazelnut and coffee drink, decorated with whipped cream, chopped hazelnuts and candy canes

What’s your favourite drink this time of year?

If you recreate this, make sure to post a picture and use the hashtag #LKXmas so I can see!

’til next time x
