2017 favourites: Fashion.

Let’s face it, I’m not the most fashionable blogger out there. I go through phases where I prioritise makeup or clothing, and whilst most of the time it’s makeup, my interest in fashion has grown over the last few months. I follow more fashion bloggers now than I used to, I save more of their posts for style inspiration, and I really want to incorporate more outfit-based posts into my own blog next year!

Tulle skirts. If you’ve been following this blog for a while, or you know me at all, you’ll know that I have a particular dislike for summer and its fashion. I do not like being too hot, nor do I like showing a lot of skin, and I am forever paranoid that dresses or skirts will expose me – cue this little number, which is just beautiful. I actually found this in Primark, but I’ll link a few alternatives below. It’s breezy enough to endure the heat, long enough to not flash my knickers but due to the sheer top and opaque bottom layer, it doesn’t look to formal, either.

A-line skirts. I basically lived in this skirt for a lot of the year. It’s so easy to dress up or down, and I find the shape quite flattering on my body shape. The cord material prevents it from flying up and the length is still comfortable for someone who’s not too keen on shorter dresses or skirts (aka me). I will definitely stock up on A-line skirts in the new year!

Oversized jumpers. I mean, when are these ever not a favourite of mine? They are easily chucked on, for lazy Sundays at home as well as for running around town doing errands, and they look great with skirts, jeans or leggings. This Adidas one has been a firm favourite since I bought it in October, but I’ve also been loving Hazel Hayes’ “I wanna be where the people aren’t”-merchandise.
