Although I love reading these types of posts, I never seem to do them myself. It’s lovely reading about the things that made people happy, especially the small, seemingly mundane ones. So today, that’s what I’m going to do: Focus on the positives in life.
Cosy vibes. The days are getting shorter, the air is getting chillier and everything is getting cosier! I’ve been loving decorating my room with fairy lights and candles, wearing jumpers, darker makeup and drinking hot drinks. This really is my favourite season and I’m soaking it all up!
Leaving my hair naturally. This might seem like a bit of an odd one but as someone who constantly straightens or curls their hair, it’s been nice to be happy with my natural hair for a change. It’s a bit of an unruly, wavy mess but recently, I haven’t minded all that much. It saves so much time in the morning, too!
Finding a routine in Eastbourne. It’s been exactly two weeks since I moved to Eastbourne and I’m slowly getting into a routine. Although there are still a few bits and pieces I would like to add to my room, it feels cosy and homely now, as does the house. I know my way around town and I have been getting to know my housemate. It’s all coming together and makes me feel more calm and secure every day.
New music. Discovering new artists or anticipating new releases is so exciting and something I definitely enjoy. The Montroze boys, though set to break up by the end of the year, have recently released their EP ‘Escape’, which is absolutely incredible, and ‘Follow the madness’ by As It Stands is amazing, too. I’ve also been loving Luke Rainsford – you should definitely check them all out!
Vlogtober. We’re halfway through the month and I’ve been loving Vlogtober! Not only have I been looking forward to Jess’ vlogs for what feels like forever, I’ve also been participating myself. I’d had this planned for so long and I’m really glad that I enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I’ve put them all in a playlist in case you feel like catching up; I upload at 5pm every day!
What has made you happy recently?
’til next time x
